Greetings!

February 1 marks the opening day of Black History Month. It's a fitting occasion for Rev. Marvin McMickle to inquire about the peculiar attitudes of some Americans, and one governor in particular, towards the teaching of American history, and he takes a look at how some want to twist that history as President Biden prepares to nominate the first black woman to the U. S. Supreme Court. Check it out here

Closer to home, columnist Marilou Johanek connects the dots encircling Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and suggests he may not be able to escape culpability in the massive House Bill 6 scandal. Read her analysis here.

And your humble scribe offers a riff on the evolution of black as ethnic reference. Read it here.

As always, stay safe and thanks for reading The Real Deal Press!
