The Cleveland Public Library Studio 525, designed to be a cutting-edge tech space for teens, opens today at noon in the Louis Stokes Wing of its main library, 525 Superior Ave. [44114].
Attendees at the grand opening can expect demonstrations, interactive sessions, and gaming, along with free food and refreshments.
According to a press release, the Studio 525 experience is centered around STREAM programming, which integrates Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Math. The teen tech center is a place where patrons can explore robotics, gaming, artificial intelligence [AI], art, virtual reality [VR], and crafts. The Studio is meant to be a place where students can explore, create, innovate, or simply hand out with friends in a safe and welcoming space designed specifically for teens. Among the hoped-for outcomes is that the center will help foster a love for science and engineering.
Studio 525 is the latest addition to the Library’s family of digital centers, including the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, at the Rockport Branch, the Clark-Fulton Verizon Community Forward Learning Center at the Fulton Branch, and the future Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Workforce and Senior Digital Innovation Center at the newly reimagined Glenville Branch project, which broke ground on Feb 3.
