Two youth-focused events are on the civic calendar this weekend.
The nonprofit organization Young Men Growing is presenting Black Male Teen Summit 2025 tomorrow at Cuyahoga Community College’s eastern campus, 4250 Richmond Rd [44128]. The theme of this year’s annual event is “Own Your Journey, Build Your Future”. Sponsors say the event is designed to challenge young men to take control of their paths with confidence and purpose." The event will feature breakout sessions on emotional intelligence, manhood development, leadership, and financial literacy, along with an array of speakers.
Other features of the event include a Parent Breakout Session, networking and mentorship opportunities, giveaways, and a free lunch. The parent session will focus on a discussion about how to raise strong, well-rounded young men. There is a $15 registration fee that supports YMG's Senior Scholarship Fund, which helps graduating seniors with college expenses.
Registration is encouraged, however a few tickets will likely be available at the door on a first-come basis for early arrivals.
