Greetings!

There is so much to report today that it is hard enough to know where to begin.

But lest we forget, today is the inaugural Mayor's Luncheon for the United Negro College Fund. Virtual networking begins at 11:30a and the program starts at 11:45a. Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb, discussing the event recently with WJW-TV's Wayne Dawson, said that nearly $100,000 had been raised so far in scholarship funds that will benefit Cleveland area students, whether they attend HBCUs or other fine undergraduate institutions.

You can attend the luncheon by clicking here on Facebook or here on UNCF's website.

The Real Deal Press is pleased to be a media sponsor of this event.

Quick notes:

Yesterday, the Rev. Marvin McMickle brought the importance of voting into sharp relief in relation to Black History Month. Visit From the Pulpit to Public Square to read his incisive discussion.

Also, ICYMI, JumpStart announced yesterday an expanded initiative to support MBEs. We presented a brief profile of HBCU and Cleveland State alum Cathy Cross [Spelman '10, CSU Law '13] as part of our report.

As always, stay safe and thanks for reading The Real Deal Press!
