Greetings!

When we committed back in January to an all-digital no holds-barred approach for this site — check out our archives for how we used to do it — one of our goals for 2021 was to reach 50,000 page views/month. We didn’t have an easy path to check our progress regularly. We do now, and you may be as surprised as we are.

While we thought we had a way to go, we learned about two weeks ago, that we surpassed the 50k threshold in September!

An even bigger surprise came this morning when we checked to see which stories were most read last month. The top three are listed below; unsurprisingly they all relate to Justin Bibb [who he is and what he’s doing].

But we were blown away when we saw the November page views: 63,244!

Our immediate sense is one of gratitude that you are showing up to read what we show up to publish, whether original, curated, or republished.

We’ll say more about these numbers soon, but both you and I want to keep this newsletter short and direct.

It’s Friday, so of course, we have Nate’s Northcoast Notes, your weekly guide to the arts and entertainment scene. Jake Zuckerman alerts us to Ohio’s worsening hospitalization rates as winter looms and another COVID variant enters the country. And today’s Business Ledger includes reports on the under-appreciated Christian Business League, the latest entrant in the MBE-support ecosphere, and the Bibb transition team’s economic development sub-committee.

As always, thanks for reading!
