Three high school students from Shaw and Richmond Heights high schools will present formal oratory speeches on relevant issues currently facing society at the inaugural Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. High School Scholars’ Oratory Brunch on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
The young scholars’ presentations will begin at 11a, preceded by a brunch and artistic presentation by local artist, Antwoine Washington, beginning at 10a. Approximately 60 invited guests, including high school students will be in attendance.
The program and brunch will be held at the Alpha Educational Leadership Development Center, 2820 E. 116th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44120.
The 2022 Inaugural Scholars Oratory Brunch will be an annual program convening high school students to hear from their peers about possible solutions to societal challenges. The Delta Alpha Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Delta Alpha Lambda Foundation are the program sponsors. King was an Alpha Phi Alpha member.
