Case Western Reserve University honors Martin Luther King Jr.—the holiday, the man, and the legacy. The CWRU campus community and the general public are invited to the University’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. The keynote speaker will be Tiffany Cross, media personality and political analyst.
Cross is the former host of The Cross Connection on MSNBC and a 2020 Resident Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics. The cable news veteran has served as the D.C. Bureau Chief for BET Networks, an associate producer for CNN, and a freelance field producer. Cross also spent time on the campaign trail having both covered and worked on numerous local, state and federal campaigns.
She also co-founded The Beat DC, a national platform that intersected politics, policy, business, media and people of color that was widely read by elected officials, CEOs and C-suite executives, opinion leaders and media influencers. She attended Clark Atlanta University and lives in Washington, D.C.
This year’s celebration will take place in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom at 12:45 p.m. A dessert reception will follow the keynote address.
The event is free and open to the CWRU campus community and the general public, but registration is strongly encouraged.
