The Ohio Supreme Court will hear arguments on both congressional redistricting lawsuits before the new year begins.

In a filing last Friday, the court announced oral arguments for Adams v. DeWine and League of Women Voters v. Ohio Redistricting Commission, which will happen on Dec. 28 at 9 a.m. via videoconferencing.

Adams v. DeWine is the challenge to congressional district maps passed in November being sought by the National Redistricting Action Fund on behalf of a few Ohio citizens. Both lawsuits ask that the court reject the maps because they see the map as unfairly disfavoring the Republican majority and not properly representing minority groups in Ohio.

Ohio Supreme Court arguments are livestreamed on The Ohio Channel.
