Lineup and speakers in place for upcoming two-day conference in downtown Cleveland

Mega sports agent Rich Paul and serial entrepreneur Dawn Dixon will keynote the highly anticipated launch of the first-ever FutureLAND conference.

The two-day conference celebrating diversity in tech, arts and culture in Northeast Ohio is designed to spur new collaborative possibilities for people of color in Cleveland’s tech scene.

Paul and Dickson will present keynote addresses at separate sessions during the inaugural two-day event held on Oct. 27 and 28 in Cleveland.

Paul is a Cleveland native and the founder of Klutch Sports Group, a sports agency known for representing some of the NBA’s highest-profile talent, including LeBron James. An investor and business mogul, Paul was recently noted as one of the most influential business leaders shaping global media. He is credited with driving the reversal of the “Rich Paul Rule,” which would have banned agents without a college degree from representing NCAA student-athletes. Paul will share insights from his journey through sports, business, wealth building, and investing during his FutureLAND discussion.

Dickson, who will serve as FutureLAND’s keynote luncheon speaker, has more than 20 years of experience in technology and business development. The founder of half a dozen successful companies, including Flat Out of Heels and PopCom, Dickson is a pioneer in Web3 and equity crowdfunding. She will talk about how  black entrepreneurs can navigate inequities in access to early-stage capital.

In addition to its keynotes, FutureLAND will feature more than 50 nationally recognized speakers, including tech founders, groundbreaking innovators, thought leaders and entrepreneurs disrupting industries and shaping the future. Presenters include Mayor Justin M. Bibb;  Brandon Bryant, Co-Founder & Partner at Harlem Capital; Daniela Blanco, Founder of Sunthetics; David Davis, Founder of FBA Flip; Elad Granot, Dean of the Boler College of Business at John Carroll University and Katelyn Perna, VP of Security and Crypto Custody at BlockFi.

In addition to keynotes, educational panels and networking opportunities, FutureLAND will feature two pitch events showcasing tech founders and small business owners competing for more than $100K in non-dilutive funding. The multi-day conference will also include an AR art show, tech demo hall, music concert and small business marketplace.
