Greetings!

What a year it has been! We are usually fairly devout at looking back to go forward, but tonight, we are just grateful to have made it through the year. We will allow ourselves to say that we are upbeat about our city and the potential of a new administration in Cleveland, and eager to see whether as a county we can get it right on the selection of a new executive. We are hopeful that our state Supreme Court will recognize and rebuff the legislature's blatant attempt to stack the deck in gerrymandered districts for Congress and the General Assembly, and pretty well terrified that 2022 may see the last fair elections in our nation's history.

As a publication, we are full of gratitude for the growth we have experienced this year. When we started this all-digital journey in January, we knew we were stepping out on faith. We attracted just over 2,200 unique [as in first time] visitors that month. Yesterday, we pushed past 10,000 for December, the first month we have hit that threshold. Our special thanks to all of you who share links to our stories with your networks of friends, family, and colleagues.

Our resolution for 2022 is to get better and more predictable in our schedule. We have some new features we will be introducing, along with some new contributors. We will talk about that early next year. For now, we share these links to today's posts and a few others published since our last missive.
