Greetings!

Today marks the debut of a new feature — Health Wednesday.

Some years ago, en route to the digital news platform we have become, we established this site to work around the limitations of a blog. We wanted among other things, to be able to present a variety of topics and writers and pictures in ways that were not circumscribed by the one-size-didn’t-fit all blog site we were on. Even before then, we wanted to be able to cater to reader interest by being able to group articles by topic. Nonprofit Thursdays was an example of this.

Health Wednesdays was another. We have in fact been working for some time to present articles on health and the business of health on Wednesdays. We haven’t announced that’s what we are doing until now.

So today, Wednesday, March 16, 2022 you can find the following pieces published in our HEALTH section:

• New study finds link between racial/ethnic disparities and COVID-19 deaths

1 in 10 Americans say they don’t eat meat – a growing share of the population

• More black Americans are buying guns. Is It driving up black suicide rates?

The sex of your cells matters when it comes to heart disease

Rest assured that a Wednesday focus on health does not mean that health-related stories will not appear on other days when news warrants, or that only health stories will be published on Wednesdays.

By the way, if you work in the health space, and have an announcement about upcoming events, our deadline to include your announcement is Friday at 5p.

We’d love to know what you think about this new feature. And we welcome your suggestions, comments or ideas about what we can do to enhance this site and make it more useful to you. Write us here at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

As always, stay safe and thanks for reading The Real Deal Press!
