Sometimes when you over rely on your strengths, they can become weaknesses. Add too much muscle, for example, and you may lose agility. Hyper-focus on your product, and you may discover you've neglected to keep up your marketing.
Starting today we are going to be reaching out to you more via email, since so many of you seem to prefer this channel. The primary goal is to let you know what's been posted most recently, and secondarily, to alert you to what you might have missed.
For example, we posted three items today: an article in Sports on the the Supreme Court's decision about the ability of college athletes to get paid [it won't happen immediately but it's coming]; the always insightful commentary of the Rev. Marvin A. McMickle on Juneteenth and the hypocrisy of certain members of the US Senate [see From the Pulpit to Public Square]; and our editorial on the forced ouster of Ayesha Bell Hardaway from her position as deputy monitor on the independent team whose mission it is to keep up with how Cleveland police officers are complying with the terms of the federal Consent Decree.
Each newsletter will also be posted on our site, so you may wish to bookmark this page as the fastest way to catch up.
That's it for today! As always, we appreciate your support as we work through our growth pains.
Thank you for reading The Real Deal.
