Ohio's primary election season kicks off on Tuesday, May 4, but in order to cast a ballot, you must be registered to vote by Monday, April 5! The Board of Elections will be open until 9p Monday for registrations.
Have you recently turned 18? Moved since you last voted? Changed your name? Take 30 seconds to double and triple-check your registration.
Online Voter Registration requires the following:
- OH driver's license or OH identification card number
- Name
- Date of birth
- Address
- Last four digits of your Social Security number
You can also register to vote by mail; print the accessible form, or register to vote in person – review the list of available locations.
Once you're registered, and you show up to your polling precinct on May 4, you can only choose one party's ballot to cast your vote. Since Ohio has nonpartisan registration, your day-of choice will designate your affiliation.
